I'll stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex twice world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning huge earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
